Search Glenn County Recent Arrests

Glenn County recent arrests start with the Sheriff's dated booking reports. That is the county's official method. There is no live public roster search. Each report shows who was arrested, which agency made the arrest, and what booking recorded. PDFs can lag or linger, so match entries against current custody or the court file. The record chain is short once you know the steps. From there, a visitor can request a booking photo. They can check a warrant field. Follow a case, or track someone moved to state or federal custody.

Glenn County Recent Arrest Reports

Every search for Glenn County recent arrests should begin on the Sheriff's Arrest Reports page. It links to dated Recent Bookings PDFs from Glenn County Jail, known as GCJ. Each PDF is a snapshot. It is not a live custody screen. Check the report date and its internal generation time before treating an entry as new. Someone booked after that moment will not appear yet, and a listed name may have posted bail or left custody once the report ran.

Glenn County offers two feed windows. They serve different needs. The newest PDF gives the closest official same-day view. The archive and the Orland Police Logs cover a wider span of booking and incident dates.

Start with the Arrests Last 24 Hours page for the fresh-report check. It covers the newest PDF. Older dates need a different stop. The Police Blotter link in the main navigation handles prior reports and the city logs.

Arrested Last Night in Glenn

Last night's arrest lands in the newest dated attachment. Compare the arrest time with the report timestamp. The filename date is not a rolling 24-hour window. Intake, review, and batch publication can separate an arrest from its first public appearance. Glenn County promises no hourly schedule and no maximum posting delay. If the name is missing, check the next report instead of assuming no arrest happened.

Current custody needs a second check. Call Glenn County Jail at 530-934-6428 to ask who is held right now. Use the VINELink Custody Check in the navigation. Confirm Glenn appears in the live California interface first. The local sources document VINE advisement, not a Sheriff promise that every GCJ event feeds the service.

Timing check: a recent booking can post late, and a published person can already be released. The PDF timestamp controls the snapshot.

Search the Glenn Jail Roster

The public Sheriff and jail pages carry no interactive Glenn County Jail roster. The substitute is the Recent Bookings archive. It holds date-indexed PDF reports instead. There is no name box. There is no custody filter or current-inmate card. The jail does keep internal inmate records, cell-placement data, photos, and fingerprints, but that does not make the public PDF list a live database.

A short verification chain works best. Pick the newest report that could cover the arrest date. Check the generation timestamp and the agency code. Then compare the booking with the Glenn Superior Court case index once a case opens, and call the jail for present custody or submit the Sheriff form for a record copy.

The Sheriff page also posts emergency alerts, online crime reporting, social links, and a crime map. None of these is an inmate app. None is a booking-photo feed. Glenn County offers no official jail mobile app.

Where Glenn Arrests Get Published

Source type matters as much as date. GCSO is the primary booking publisher. OPD runs an incident-oriented log. The Glenn County Observer and Crime Voice cover selected events, while commercial pages collect records on their own schedules. An unofficial page can outlast an official attachment, skip a later court result, or match the wrong person, so start with government records and treat secondary pages as leads.

The RecentlyBooked Glenn page is a secondary source. It even conflicts with itself on whether Glenn supplies images. Treat it as a lead at most. It should never replace a Sheriff report or a court record.

Glenn arrest listings come from several local publishers. None is an official roster. Where arrests get published varies by outlet. Glenn County visitors should compare each one.

Glenn Recent Arrests by City

Glenn County has two incorporated cities. Orland runs its own police department. It keeps an official media-log archive. OPD arrests can also appear in GCJ reports with the agency code OPD. Orland Recent Arrests explains how the city log and the county booking date relate. Willows, meanwhile, is in a law-enforcement transition after its GCSO services contract ended on July 1, 2026.

City incident reports go to GCSO for follow-up. County jail bookings stay with GCJ. Willows Recent Arrests tracks that transition without inventing a Willows Police roster. Unincorporated Glenn County is handled at the county level, since it is not a third city.

Why Glenn Arrest Sources Differ

Why do Glenn County arrest sources clash so often? A 2011–2012 grand jury report offers a clue. Over eighteen months it counted 455 arrests by Orland Police, 263 by Willows Police, and 471 by the Glenn County Sheriff's Office. Those figures are history. They say nothing about today's volume. Their value is structural: more than one agency can create the first arrest record, even though GCJ later makes the county booking entry. Roles have changed since then, especially in Willows. Read the arresting-agency field before assuming GCSO started every GCJ record, then treat the agency log, the Sheriff booking report, and the court case as separate stages. Note: these historical counts explain source overlap and cannot estimate present crime or arrest volume in Glenn County.

What Glenn Arrest Records Show

A Glenn County booking PDF is a structured export of a public news release. Each arrest entry can carry a lot of detail. You may see the report time and the GCJ facility code. The entry also shows the person's name, a booking or inmate number, age, and physical descriptors. Some entries go further. They add an address or city, the arrest location, the arresting agency, case type, bail, alleged charges, and warrant data. Blank or redacted fields vary by report. An address is not proof of current residence. And an agency label is not the jail operator.

Field groupMeaning in the booking report
IdentityName, booking number, age, and available descriptive details
EventArrest time, place, agency, and case type
CustodyGCJ facility, bail value, no-bail notation, or related hold field
ChargeCount, code section, charge description, and felony or misdemeanor coding
WarrantNumber, type, jurisdiction, description, and linked case data when present
Report metadataGeneration time, page count, total inmates, and total bookings

Glenn County totals need care. One person can generate several counts or booking transactions. So "total bookings" need not equal unique people. The Sheriff report documents the booking itself, while the court's register of actions and final judgment show what happened later.

Booking
The jail intake process and record created after an arrest or surrender.
Arraignment
The first court appearance, when the charge is addressed and a plea process begins.
Bond or bail
A release condition or amount set at that stage, not a sentence.
Disposition
The court’s later outcome, such as dismissal, acquittal, plea, or judgment.
Expungement
A common label for record relief whose exact California remedy depends on the case.

Glenn Mugshots and Booking Photos

Booking photos sit deeper in the system than Glenn County visitors expect. The Custody Manual says so. Photographs and fingerprints are cross-referenced to a booking number inside the inmate record system. The Sheriff's public arrest reports show text. No face gallery appears there. GCJ can still hold a booking photo even when the website displays none.

Ask Sheriff Records for the photograph tied to a named booking. Redacted or withheld? Request a written explanation. State law adds a wrinkle. California Penal Code section 13665 restricts law-enforcement sharing of booking photos on social media in covered nonviolent cases, yet it does not treat every agency website or electronic data system as social media, and a public arrest-information duty can coexist with limits tied to safety, an active investigation, juvenile status, or another protected category.

The official Penal Code section 13665 page shows why an arrest record can be public while photo publication follows a narrower rule.

Booking photos belong to legal sources. Aggregator sites explain little. A legal source carries more weight. Glenn mugshots follow that rule.

Request a Glenn Arrest Record

Some requests need paper. Use the official GCSO records-request form when the dated PDF is missing. The form also fits when a booking photo is needed or a correction must be documented. Here's where it goes: Glenn County Sheriff's Office, 543 West Oak Street, Willows, CA 95988. Administration answers at 530-934-6441. The jail sits elsewhere, at 141 South Lassen Street. Do not send a records request there without office direction.

  1. Give the full name and the most precise arrest or booking date available.
  2. Name the desired item, such as the booking report, booking photograph, warrant field, or release information.
  3. Add the arresting agency, location, case number, or booking number if known.
  4. Ask the custodian to state any copying fee, redaction, withholding ground, and expected response path.
  5. Compare the result with the court index before drawing a conclusion about the case outcome.

Timing matters under the California Public Records Act. An agency generally must decide within ten days whether a request seeks disclosable records. Unusual circumstances can trigger a written extension. That is not a delivery deadline for copies. The Sheriff form offers payment choices and an amount field, but it lists no fixed booking-photo fee. Court copy and certification charges belong to the Superior Court schedule, not to Sheriff photo prices.

Glenn Arrest Records Under California Law

California law sets the baseline. Government Code section 7923.610 identifies the arrest information law enforcement generally makes public, subject to safety and investigation exceptions. The categories cover identity, description, arrest and booking time, location, circumstances, bail, holding or release information, charges, warrants, and certain holds. That list is broad. Still, it does not require Glenn County to publish every field at once through a searchable web roster.

Some Glenn records stay closed. Glenn Superior Court treats juvenile, adoption, paternity, and mental-health matters as confidential. It also notes some police reports are not public. The Sheriff form warns of delay or withholding for juvenile data, protected information, witness safety, incomplete material, or an active investigation.

Correction and removal are separate jobs. Civil Code section 1798.91.1 bars private publishers from charging the arrested person to remove, correct, alter, or refrain from publishing a booking photo. So never pay a fee to take one down. Ask GCSO to correct its own source first. Use California Courts forms when case relief may apply, then submit no-fee publisher procedures where supported. RecentlyBooked and Local Crime News describe free request routes. But those are publisher policies, not court orders or county guarantees.

The California Courts record-cleaning forms page is the official place to identify forms such as CR-180 and CR-181.

Relief eligibility depends on each case. A form search deletes nothing automatically. Sheriff PDFs and publisher copy can persist. Glenn arrest records answer to state law.

Glenn Arrest Warrants and Wanted Lists

Glenn County publishes no online warrant-search portal and no current most-wanted page. That gap pushes warrant hunters toward other tools. A Glenn County booking PDF sometimes lists a warrant number, its type, the issuing court, a description, the charge, and bail. That applies when the arrest came from a warrant. For a wider search, the Glenn Superior Court case index pairs well with a call to the criminal clerk at 530-934-6446, option 2. The court's criminal-case page also walks through resolving a bench warrant properly. History adds a footnote here. A Glenn County Probation wanted poster dated January 26, 2018 shows the county once ran a poster program. It is an old file, not a live list. Treat every name, face, and status in it as outdated. The Sheriff Civil Division serves civil process. Its civil bench-warrant service fee covers paperwork delivery, not a criminal warrant lookup. Do not confront anyone on a list. Never follow or try to detain a person because a website says so. Call 911 if danger is immediate. Or use the agency's published non-emergency line for a tip. Anyone who suspects a warrant in their own name should call the court. A lawyer can also advise them.

After a Glenn County Arrest

A booking entry is the first public record of a Glenn County arrest. It is not the last. Arraignment, per Glenn Superior Court, is the first court appearance. A defendant saying they understand the charge is not a plea. A not-guilty answer opens the road to pretrial steps. A guilty or no-contest plea can trigger a probation report and sentencing. So the booking charge tells you where a case starts, never where it lands.

To track the case, use the court case-search page. It offers the online index or register of actions. Request copies from the court records office for anything not posted online. Search by case number when you can. Name searches return mistaken matches. The court also warns that its online material is not the official record itself. The official Glenn criminal-case page gives the proper local context for arraignment. It also covers the stages that follow.

Court records show life after a Glenn County arrest. GCJ handles the booking. The story then moves to court. Outcomes live there, not in the jail.

Custody Beyond Glenn County

Jail booking, state prison, federal prison, and immigration custody are four different worlds. A person arrested in Glenn County can land in any of them. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's CIRIS search covers state custody. It returns a CDCR number, age, and current location. Commitment counties, admission date, and some parole-hearing data are also listed. It does not track every Glenn County arrest or release. A Glenn commitment county does not prove a recent Glenn arrest either.

Federal custody works differently. For federal prison, the Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator is the standard tool. It shows no booking-photo field. ICE's Online Detainee Locator System covers ICE detainees and sets its own identity requirements. Marshals custody can shift people between local and federal facilities. So the Marshals prisoner overview is not a universal person search.

CDCR does not promise photos in CIRIS. Its media policy runs a separate process for offender-photo requests. It may also impose safety or investigation limits. That state path cannot replace the Glenn County booking-photo process.

Older Glenn Arrest Records

Glenn County states no fixed retention period for booking reports, cards, photos, or fingerprints. That holds on every public source. The visible PDF archive spans several years. Website depth is still not a legal retention schedule. A dead link can just mean the page moved while the agency record still exists. Ask GCSO for the current schedule and transfer history. Do not assume an old booking record was destroyed.

History has its own path. The Glenn County Historical Records Commission and the Clerk-Recorder can identify transferred county record series. Neither is an automatic holder of current Sheriff photos. The California State Archives guide lists possible sheriff holdings such as jail registers and photographic files. Yet its Glenn listing does not prove Sacramento keeps a current GCJ photo set. Start with GCSO. Then try the county archival contacts. Then contact State Archives reference staff with the exact series and date.

Can an old search result linger after a source changes? Yes. Search engines and news archives can preserve a stale title or snippet. Fix the source first, keep proof, and then use the search provider's official outdated-content process.

Note: agency retention, website display, court relief, publisher correction, and archival custody are separate processes with different decision makers.
